Forest School Education

As a certified Forest School Educator with Wilderness First Aid (WFA) training, I am dedicated to fostering a deep connection between students and the natural world through the teaching of ancestral skills, earth system science, and meaningful outdoor experiences. With 15 years of diverse educational experience, I guide children in exploring native plants, understanding their traditional uses, and developing tracking skills that heighten their awareness of the environment.

My approach integrates outdoor risk assessments and responsible trail hiking, ensuring students learn safety and respect for the ecosystems they engage with. Beyond environmental education, I incorporate core academic subjects such as math, language arts, and social studies, weaving them into real-world contexts that enrich learning.

Through hands-on activities and immersive experiences, I aim to empower students to become knowledgeable, respectful stewards of the earth, equipped with the skills and understanding necessary to thrive both academically and personally in connection with nature.
